Mobius Kids Museum in Spokane Washington
Mobius Kids is a wonderful museum that brings learning and play together as one. The goal of Mobius Kids Museum is to enhance their learning of the cultures through science, performing and community art. The museum is located down in the basement of Spokane's River Square. This is a great hands on discovery place for children! Exhibits for the kiddies Geotopia Geotopia is all about the hands on experience for the kids! They will get play while learning about earth science. You better send them with clothes you do not mind them getting dirty in, because they will be digging through dirt to find dinosaur fossils! Also, they will get to see how water erosion works and the effects of it! To finish of they will get to see and maybe even hold some of the live insects they have like an African Millipede, Leggy Peggy, Hissing Cockroaches and a Rosehair Tarantula. Bayanihan: A Window to the Philippines In this exhibit the kids will get the cool privilege of learning about the Filipino Culture! Much of the shopping that is done in the Philippines is done through bargaining! So, the kids will get to practice their bargaining skills at the Safari Gift Shop on the premises. They will also get to try out their skills at a local market. Kids will also learn how to husk rice just like the Filipino. Cooper's Corner Kids at this age hopefully still like to ride their bikes! This exhibit is a tour of a mini city and will teach your kids about traffic and bicycle safety. The Globe Theater Kids will have the freedom to put their dramatic skills to use for the purpose of fun (not for throwing a tantrum). They will get learn the basics of lighting and stage flats. They will then put together their own recitals of plays and dances. Kids will love to try on the various costumes available and play the musical instruments. Out-of-Hand Art Studio Now I would just love to be a kid again, just to try this exhibit out! The kids get to explore visual arts in whatever form they choose. The studio is never lacking in materials so kids really get to experiment with various mediums. Every session there are different art projects for them to do, that expands their minds and skills. Enchanted Forest If you have infants and want to get them started in the world of learning and being active, Mobius has a place for them too. The Enchanted Forest has areas around the exhibit for them to crawl and climb. There is even a tree slide and a foam pond. The Enchanted Forest is a very stimulating place for them because there is a lot to see and many colors to admire. At certain times of the day there are puppet shows for them to enjoy.
