The Seiberling Nature Realm in Ohio
The Seiberling Nature Realm could be apart of a really romantic day for you and that special someone. The Seiberling Nature Realm has 104 acres of land so plush and so beautiful! This is a wonderful place to stroll after dinner. The Seiberling Nature Realm is apart of the San Run Metro Parks family, so it is a well kept park. Here you can enjoy hiking, relaxing by a choice of three ponds, gardens and special events. There are special events and programs that run all throughout the year. I recommend taking a walk on the trails! Now the trails are not hardcore trails that require you to where certain gear and carry a backpack. This trail is very moderate and you can wear regular clothes. The trail only last for 2.3 miles, but you will get to see a rock and herb garden, a 16 acre Arboretum, flower trees and plant displays. Everything on this path is beautifully landscaped. You will see some sort of wildlife on your venture! Do not worry though you will not see anything like a wolf or a grizzly bear. However, you may see a deer, bunnies and squirrels, nothing to harmful right? With there being three ponds on the premises you will see a lot of water life including cute little duckies. At random times of the day you might even see red tailed hawks and turkeys hiding in the trees. I caution you though at night, just in case you run into a coyote! I would not worry about that though. The Seibeling Nature Realm's Visitor Center is where you want to go if you would like to see the seasonal exhibits. The exhibit highlights the animals of that region and their behavioral patterns. Also, you can see the center beehives and watch the bee's make their honey! The visitor’s center is underground and is a whooping 9,400 square feet. At the visitors center is where you can sign up for workshops and accompany guides on nature walks and tours. The park programs include a butterfly watching walk with a naturalist, bonfire talks, participate in a study of chickadees and tons of children’s programs.
